Bio

Andrew Winter's years of experience as a professional musician has earned him a reputation for his serious work ethic and commitment to his craft.             He has had the pleasure of providing music for local restaurants including the Bridge Road Bistro, the Wine Valley, and Le Bistro.  In addition,                       Andrew has been involved with multiple local musical theater groups as an orchestra guitarist and electric bassist.   

Andrew has also been active as a church musician.  He has performed for St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ruffner Memorial Presbyterian Church, and has been a regular accompanist for Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church in Morehead, Kentucky.  Andrew is currently a professor of guitar at West Virginia State University and Contemporary Music Director for New Hope United Methodist Church in Proctorville, Ohio.  

Andrew's academic credentials include a bachelor's of fine arts degree from Marshall University and a master's of music degree from Morehead State University.  During his academic endeavors Andrew has had the opportunity of performing with the top big band ensembles and small jazz and rock combos at both Marshall and Morehead State University.  

During his time at Morehead State Andrew worked as a graduate assistant with responsibilities including directing ensembles and private guitar and bass instruction.  Andrew's list of mentors throughout his development as a musician include Dr. Julio Alves, Vince Lewis, Ryan Kennedy, Dr. Mark Zanter, and Glenn Ginn.
